Its been a while since my last blog... a memorable rant at the late Gordon Brown. But like I said I would only come here for a reason so here it goes. Generally speaking we are in deep brown staff, some deeper that others. But depth is not so much of an issue. Can't float... that's taken up by gravity so you sink. Newton predicted that, so that's cool, you should have known better and got some arm band floaters. The real trouble however is an issue of width and spread. So... you can float... but have no way of knowing where the end is so you drift. You try raising taxes but you don't know how much is too much, you try cutting stuff but you don't know how much is too much, you print some money but you don't know how much is too much. Generally speaking you know fuck all. But you are on telly a lot so everyone thinks you are good, which generally speaking shows that they too know fuck all. So here is something to test your single grey cell normally dedicated to thinking fuck all. Britain is at the tail end of a great historical journey lasting several centuries. The end game started in 1940 and has dropped since, only bolstered temporarily. After every peak the following trough has been deeper and the trend is south mainly created by borrowing from the children's kitty. Yet despite this, none of the great thinkers has ever really thought outside the box. Mainly because the box is so big it doesn't actually feel that you are in it. The NHS Budget is roughly 126 Billion for this year and total welfare 326 Billion that means that we all work for about two and a half months each... to feed the beast. So a considerable amount of our effort goes to trying to stay alive. China India Brazil and most certainly Putin in Russia do not do that, which gives them a great advantage. Their welfare support is based mainly with the family and family wealth looks after the members. We spend around 90 Billion on education and we get fuck all out of it in so far as a significant number of pupils raw out of school are unemployable at a basic level of jobs. Now then, think about swapping the two budgets around and at the same time encourage people to save for their family needs. In a jiffy you have a country which puts education at its heart instead of life expectancy statistics. We may die younger but we may be better educated and therefore more philosophical about it. Thinking outside the box works best when you are able to not only walk outside and look at its shape but have the insight and will to bin it and get a new one. Turn Britain into one massive college were from cradle to grave learning is the goal in life. This means that school, college, university and industry are one entity. Banking is obliged to contribute through taxation and eventually see return through that investment with better staff and better opportunities to invest. Create a self feeding force from knowledge to wealth creation that gives most people disposable income to buy health insurance which if done properly with suitable tax breaks would be preferable to say buying a new kitchen. To do that one needs to think the unthinkable and bury Aneurin Bevan for good.
